Position Overview
Lead and manage the Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions for a construction and infrastructure project.
Implement and maintain the project quality management system and ensure construction activities meet required standards.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- IRCA-certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification is described as required/preferred.
- Additional professional certifications in Quality Management or Construction Quality are advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum 14 years of total professional experience is required.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant QA/QC management experience in construction and infrastructure projects is required.
- Proven experience as a QA/QC Manager on major construction projects is required.
- Experience with large-scale building, infrastructure, road, structural, or civil construction projects is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the project QA/QC function and maintain the Project Quality Management System.
- Review Project Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, Method Statements, and quality procedures.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance, material approvals, laboratory testing, inspections, and quality documentation.
- Conduct site inspections and audits, identify non-conformities, and manage corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders and provide QA/QC reporting, records, and technical guidance.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC systems and construction quality management.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Understanding of civil, structural, road, and infrastructure construction quality requirements.
- Experience developing PQPs, ITPs, Method Statements, and inspection procedures.
- Knowledge of construction materials testing, NCRs, corrective actions, preventive actions, audits, reporting, and documentation.
- Strong leadership, team management, communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
