Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed mechanical and piping drawings using AutoCAD and other CAD software.
- Prepare piping isometrics, GA drawings, P&IDs, piping layouts, pipe routing, pipe supports, and equipment drawings.
- Develop drawings from engineering calculations, sketches, mark-ups, specifications, and site measurements.
- Conduct site surveys and measurements to verify existing piping, equipment, and facilities.
- Update drawings to as-built status based on site verification and mark-ups.
- Prepare and update material take-offs and bills of materials.
- Review vendor catalogues, equipment specifications, and existing or archived drawings.
- Ensure drawings meet accuracy, quality, standards, and project specification requirements.
- Support drafting for projects, MOC, PIR, and IAT activities.
Requirements
- HND or diploma in Mechanical Engineering of at least three years, or a two-year ITI Mechanical Draftsman qualification.
- At least 7 years of drafting experience in oil and gas, refinery, or petrochemical plants or consultancies.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and 3D.
- Knowledge of Plant 3D and other CAD design software is preferred.
- Strong experience in mechanical and piping drafting.
- Knowledge of piping materials, standards, and codes is preferred.
- Experience with as-built drawings and site surveys is required.
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications.
Contract Details
- The contract duration is two months.
Location
- The role is located in Mesaeed, Qatar and includes site surveys and measurements.
