Role Overview

The Purchasing Manager oversees end-to-end procurement and supply chain operations for the hotel.

The department head role reports to the Director of Finance and covers hotel materials, Food and Beverage inventory, operating supplies, equipment, and vendor services.

The role aims to secure quality goods and services at competitive prices, maintain stock levels, meet health and hygiene requirements, and protect profitability.

Departmental Leadership and Sourcing

  • Lead, train, and manage purchasing, receiving, and storeroom personnel.
  • Develop and maintain hotel procurement SOPs under corporate standards and internal audit guidelines.
  • Build and evaluate supplier relationships through audits, quality reviews, and price benchmarking.

Procurement and Negotiation

  • Manage purchasing across Food and Beverage, Rooms Division, Engineering, Spa, and Administrative departments.
  • Conduct competitive bidding, tender analyses, and contract negotiations for recurring supplies, capital expenditures, and service contracts.
  • Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and seasonal variations to optimize purchase timing and cost efficiency.

Cost Control and Inventory

  • Maintain optimal stock levels and support compliance with health and hygiene regulations.
  • Safeguard hotel profitability through strategic cost control.

Requirements
