Role Overview

Senior middle-management leadership role directing daily hotel finance department operations.

Reports to the Director of Finance and acts as the department's second-in-command.

Oversees accounting, reporting, budgeting, payables and receivables, payroll, cost control, purchasing, and cash management.

Maintains financial controls, regulatory compliance, working capital, and analysis supporting hotel gross operating profit.

Strategic Leadership and Oversight

  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the accounting team.
  • Provide direction, performance reviews, and professional development.
  • Deputize for the Director of Finance during absences.
  • Represent the department in Executive Committee meetings and owner interactions.
  • Enforce USALI, corporate policies, local tax regulations, and internal audit requirements.

Financial Reporting and Closing

  • Lead month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
  • Ensure accurate general ledger reconciliations and timely reporting.
  • Prepare monthly financial statement packages, profit and loss statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses.
  • Review daily revenue reports, cost control reconciliations, and balance sheet accounts to identify anomalies.

Budgeting and Cash Management
