Role Overview
Safeguard the financial integrity and stability of the hotel and minimize exposure to potential risks.
Assist the Controller in administering all financial aspects and ensuring compliance with local and corporate policies and procedures.
Financial Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounting tasks and prepare and distribute reports on time.
- Ensure accounting staff are motivated and fully trained in their duties.
- Meet all legal and corporate requirements and regulations.
- Close the books monthly in a timely and accurate manner.
- Complete tax calculations and reporting accurately and on time.
Talent Development
- Support and implement talent development initiatives as part of daily activities.
- Identify training talent within the department and hotel and support career development.
- Support and initiate transfers, cross-exposure, and task force assignments for the team.
- Conduct regular train-the-trainer sessions and support talent development plans.
- Recruit and select talent according to hotel, regional, and worldwide needs.
Requirements
- Ensure all local and corporate financial policies, procedures, legal requirements, and regulations are followed.
- Manage or support daily accounting tasks and timely preparation and distribution of reports.
- Ensure books are closed monthly in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure tax calculations and reporting are accurate and timely.
- Motivate and fully train accounting staff in their duties and responsibilities.
- Support talent development initiatives and identify development opportunities for hotel staff.
- Recruit and select talent according to current and future hotel, regional, and worldwide needs.
