Role Overview
Lead procurement strategy and global purchasing operations for a UAE-based manufacturing company.
Ensure timely availability of quality goods and services at competitive costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct global purchasing and procurement functions and implement related policies and procedures.
- Manage annual global procurement expenditure and forecast purchasing requirements.
- Align procurement activities with operational plans and strategic objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, contracts, performance, pricing, quality, and delivery.
- Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, customers, and external partners.
- Lead strategic procurement projects that support company growth and direction.
- Conduct market intelligence and analysis to identify trends, sourcing opportunities, risks, and savings.
- Develop action plans from procurement analysis and establish cost-management systems across overseas offices.
- Coordinate HSE actions related to pollution, waste, recycling, environmental health, conservation, and renewable energy.
- Ensure environmental and safety measures are implemented and maintained.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
- 10–15 years of international purchasing or procurement management experience.
- Strong supply chain and international sourcing experience is preferred.
- Strong manufacturing procurement and end-to-end procurement systems experience.
- Demonstrated international sourcing and supplier management experience.
- Strong international procurement and commercial background.
- Strong contract management, negotiation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience developing, training, and managing a purchasing or procurement department.
