HSE Officer (Offshore)

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Implement company, client, and project HSE policies, procedures, and requirements offshore.
• Conduct inspections of work areas, equipment, and working practices and report deviations.
• Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness programs.
• Support medical evacuations, emergency drills, emergency preparedness, and response procedures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and assist with corrective actions.
• Monitor lifesaving, firefighting, and emergency-response equipment inspection and maintenance.
• Attend and facilitate HSE meetings and coordinate with clients and operational teams.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports, statistics, observations, and incident documentation.
• Promote a strong safety culture and compliance with applicable HSE standards.

Requirements

• A diploma in Fire and Safety Engineering or an equivalent qualification is required.
• NEBOSH, IOSH Diploma, or an equivalent internationally recognized HSE certification is required.
• ADNOC HSE Passport and ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 Auditor Certification are required.
• 6–7 years of HSE experience, including at least 2 years of offshore experience in a similar role, is required.
• Strong knowledge of national, international, and client-specific HSE standards is required.
• Offshore, marine, oil and gas, energy, or related industry experience is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of inspections, risk assessments, incident investigation, emergency response, and reporting is required.
• Fluent written and spoken English is required; Arabic is advantageous.
• Microsoft Office proficiency, strong report-writing, communication, planning, organizing, and analytical skills are required.
• Candidates must be able to work effectively in offshore and challenging operational environments.

Work Schedule

• The role is based in offshore operations in Abu Dhabi and follows a 90/30 rotation.
