Project Manager [Interior Design, Fit-Out & MEP]

Role Overview

Schedule and Work Setting

• This is a full-time role working eight hours per day, five days per week, generally Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
• The role is office and site-based with regular travel to sites and possible local or international travel. Urgent project, safety, operational, commissioning, meeting, or handover support may be required outside standard hours.

Project Delivery

• Develop scopes, execution plans, schedules, budgets, procurement strategies, milestones, deliverables, and reporting requirements.
• Manage projects from initiation through site execution, testing, commissioning, snagging, handover, and close-out.
• Monitor scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, delays, constraints, and technical issues, and implement corrective measures.
• Obtain final deliverables, warranties, manuals, certificates, approvals, and as-built information before closure.

Design and MEP Coordination

• Coordinate interior-design and fit-out packages, including layouts, materials, finishes, samples, mock-ups, shop drawings, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, life-safety, HVAC, ELV, lighting, and building-services requirements.
• Review drawings and submissions, resolve clashes, monitor testing and commissioning, and verify completion documentation.

Commercial and Property Support

• Review BOQs, cost estimates, specifications, quotations, contractor submissions, variations, commitments, expenditures, forecasts, and projected final costs.
• Coordinate planned, preventive, corrective, and reactive maintenance and recommend improvements to property quality, reliability, energy performance, safety, and user experience.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain auditable project records, drawings, approvals, contracts, reports, correspondence, meeting minutes, technical submissions, variations, warranties, and completion documents.
• Prepare progress dashboards and reports covering schedule, cost, quality, safety, risks, decisions, variations, and management actions.
• Maintain decision logs, change registers, risk registers, submittal trackers, procurement schedules, and action lists.

Education and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in interior design, architecture, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, building services engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.
• Six to eight years of relevant post-qualification experience in project management, interior design, fit-out, construction, refurbishment, property development, or MEP delivery is required.
• Experience delivering interior fit-out and MEP-coordinated projects from design through handover is required.
• A valid UAE driving licence is required. UAE project experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, or premium property environments is advantageous.

Systems and Competencies

• Relevant systems include Microsoft Office, MS Project, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft Dynamics, and 3DSMAX.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent project-management certification is preferred.
• The role requires leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, networking, strategic thinking, and stakeholder-management skills.
