- Supervise the engineering activity (all disciplines)
- Plan and direct engineering assignments on the project
- Possess technical responsibilities for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating these assignments
- Ensure the facilities are designed in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner in accordance with policies and all applicable laws, regulations, authorization basis, codes, standards and technical requirements
- Represent Engineering on the project and with the client to resolve technical questions, expedite procurements, coordinate construction interfaces and as required to coordinate work
- Ensure work process execution and technical adequacy are in accordance with contract and industry standards
- Coordinate engineering effort with Project Manager, Procurement, Construction, Startup, Environmental Safety and Health (ES&H) and Project Controls
- Prepare or direct the preparation of project studies, reports, forecasts, special engineering reports and plant data book
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10 13 years of relevant experience or 14 17 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in customer facing roles, presenting to customers, and working with authorities having jurisdiction
- Knowledge of current industry and regulatory standards and general design criteria
- Skill in assessing the scope of problems and developing practical solutions
- Experience in the preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, proposals, value engineering studies, or alternate technical concepts
- Experience with managing the coordination of design development with other functions including construction, estimating, project controls, procurement, and contracts management
- Strong background in effectively managing interdisciplinary coordination
- Ability to research, analyze, and report on new design and construction technologies for buildings
- Ability to coordinate and work with the other engineering disciplines, the client, designers, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders
- Demonstrate flexibility in balancing competing deadlines, priorities, and resource availability
- Must have strong organizational, leadership and teamwork skills, proven problem solving abilities, and the desire to innovate designs as well as architecture/ engineering work processes
- Proven ability to lead and work within a diverse multicultural environment

Project Overview
- Bechtel has been involved over the last 80 years in some of the world’s busiest and most complex airport projects, including Greenfield and Brownfield developments.
- In the GCC, we have held significant roles on King Khalid, King Fahad, Dubai, Hamad, and Muscat international airports.
- We are currently considering candidates with aviation, other transportation or complex public accessible building project experience to provide project management consultancy services for a major infrastructure project in Riyadh.
Major Responsibilities
