Role Overview
Manage, supervise, and ensure successful execution of civil works for 380 kV HV/MV substation projects.
Execute civil works in compliance with SEC standards, contract requirements, safety requirements, and quality guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise substation foundations, control buildings, cable trenches, equipment foundations, roads, and fencing.
- Review civil designs, drawings, and shop drawings and coordinate approvals with consultants and contractors.
- Coordinate with SEC representatives, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
- Plan and schedule civil construction activities to meet project timelines and milestones.
- Monitor materials and workmanship, conduct inspections, and maintain QA/QC compliance.
- Ensure site compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Prepare daily progress reports, inspection requests, material approvals, and other project documentation.
- Assist with technical issues, variations, and claims related to civil works.
- Support progress meetings with the Project Manager and report civil work status and challenges.
- Complete and hand over civil works to enable electrical installation and substation commissioning.
Key Competencies
- Knowledge of substation civil construction practices.
- Knowledge of quality and safety management.
- Ability to manage stakeholders including SEC representatives, consultants, and contractors.
- Planning, scheduling, and civil construction execution skills.
- Ability to work in a multicultural and challenging environment.
