  • Own delivery from contract award through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Act as the primary accountable point for clients, joint venture partners, and internal leadership.
  • Resolve cross-functional bottlenecks affecting schedule or budget.
  • Direct interfaces between civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control, engineering, and construction teams.
  • Resolve design changes, technical queries, and interdisciplinary clashes.

Procurement and construction

  • Oversee procurement of turbines, generators, transformers, switchgear, and balance-of-plant systems.
  • Manage vendor selection, expediting, logistics, vendor quality, and factory acceptance testing.
  • Provide executive oversight of site construction and subcontractor performance.
  • Lead pre-commissioning, commissioning, plant start-up, and performance test completion.

Commercial and risk management

  • Control project cost and schedule baselines through earned value analysis, variance reporting, and corrective action planning.
  • Oversee contract administration, variation orders, and claims management.
  • Maintain a comprehensive risk register and implement mitigation and contingency plans.

Safety, quality, and stakeholders

  • Lead HSE, permit-to-work, process safety, hazard identification, and incident prevention across project sites.
  • Manage relationships with clients, consortium partners, financiers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure compliance with grid codes, utility interconnection standards, and international engineering codes.
  • Strengthen QA/QC frameworks for defect-free delivery, performance testing, and handover.

Education requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, is required.
  • A master's degree in Engineering Management, Project Management, or Business Administration is preferred.
