Procurement Category Lead responsible for Electrical and Instrumentation procurement activities.
Technical Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Requires 8–12 or more years of procurement and sourcing experience for Electrical and Instrumentation systems within EPC or Oil and Gas projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical equipment, instrumentation packages, control systems, and related procurement processes.
Procurement Expertise
- Experience with procurement processes, RFQ preparation, technical and commercial bid evaluation, vendor prequalification, supplier negotiation, expediting, logistics, Incoterms, commercial terms, subcontracting, supplier performance, and procurement planning.
- Experience coordinating with Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, Planning, and Finance.
Core Responsibilities
- Review engineering deliverables and material requisitions.
- Develop procurement strategies, prequalify vendors, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts.
- Prepare RFQs and bid documentation.
- Identify qualified suppliers and subcontractors.
- Conduct technical and commercial bid evaluations.
- Prepare bid tabulations and award recommendations.
- Review compliance with specifications and project requirements.
- Expedite engineering documents and material deliveries.
- Coordinate inspections and factory acceptance tests where applicable.
- Manage logistics and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, Planning, Commercial, and Finance.
- Manage supplier performance and resolve procurement issues.
Project Compliance
- Ensure compliance with project schedules and procurement procedures.
