Project Director

Job purpose

Duties and responsibilities

• · Lead overall project strategy, governance, and execution from inception to completion.
• · Oversee planning, design management, construction delivery, and handover activities.
• · Ensure compliance with project objectives, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
• · Direct multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors to achieve performance targets.
• · Manage project budgets, schedules, risks, and quality standards.
• · Provide executive-level reporting, dashboards, and progress updates to senior leadership.
• · Lead stakeholder engagement with authorities, government entities, and external partners.
• · Resolve escalated issues, interface conflicts, and delivery risks.
• · Ensure alignment of project phasing with development goals and land-release strategies.
• · Drive value engineering, lifecycle optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• · Maintain strong governance across commercial, procurement, and technical functions.
• · Perform related duties as assigned by the Line Manager
• · Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills

• · Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or construction management.
• · Highly preferred: Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent.
• · Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, MRICS, PgMP) are highly preferred.
• · Demonstrated expertise in construction management, project governance, and mega-project delivery.
• · Minimum of 25 years of experience in large-scale construction and development projects.
• · Mandatory experience delivering major projects within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• · Strong background working in a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) environment.
• · Comprehensive understanding of the full project lifecycle—from inception and design through construction, commissioning, and handover.
• · Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• · Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Proven experience in:
• · High-rise buildings
• · Commercial buildings
• · Towers
• · Mixed-use developments
• · Perform related duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
• · Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
