Job Purpose
Support the planning, implementation, and inspection of civil engineering projects.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in civil engineering principles and hands-on experience in construction site inspection, materials testing, and compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform on-site inspections of construction activities to ensure compliance with engineering plans, specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Assist in reviewing construction drawings, blueprints, and project documentation.
- Monitor contractor performance and verify work progress.
- Document daily activities, prepare inspection reports, and communicate findings to senior engineers.
- Ensure materials and workmanship meet required standards and approved procedures.
- Report and follow up on non-conformities or issues identified during inspections.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
- Support testing and commissioning activities as required.
- Maintain up-to-date records and logs related to project inspections and compliance.
Requirements
- Strong foundation in civil engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience in construction site inspection, materials testing, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Ability to review construction drawings, blueprints, and project documentation.
- Ability to document inspection activities, prepare reports, and communicate findings to senior engineers.
- Ability to verify that materials and workmanship meet required standards and approved procedures.
