Project Director

Project Leadership & Delivery

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful completion of assigned projects.
• Take full accountability for project delivery including
• cost, schedule, quality, safety, resources, and client satisfaction
• .
• Lead large project teams including Construction Managers, Project Managers, Planning, Commercial, Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Procurement, and subcontractors.
• Ensure projects are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, contractual requirements, and authority regulations.
• Drive construction methodology, sequencing, resource planning, and productivity improvements.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the senior point of contact between the company, client, consultants, authorities, and key stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Manage expectations, resolve critical issues, and ensure smooth project progress.
• Represent the organization professionally in project meetings and executive reviews.

Commercial & Contract Management

• Work closely with commercial teams to monitor budgets, variations, claims, contractual obligations, and project profitability.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Support contract administration including extensions of time, claims management, and dispute avoidance.
• Ensure effective cost control and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Planning & Controls

• Oversee project schedules, milestones, critical paths, and recovery plans.
• Monitor project progress against baseline programs and implement corrective actions when required.
• Ensure effective reporting systems are maintained for senior management visibility.

Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing construction teams.
• Establish clear objectives, accountability, and performance standards across project functions.
• Promote collaboration between site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and head office functions.
• Drive a culture focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to company QA/QC standards, HSE policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Champion a strong safety culture across all project activities.
• Ensure timely project handover with required approvals, documentation, and client acceptance.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in

Civil Engineering

• is mandatory.
• Additional qualifications in Project Management / Construction Management will be advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum
• 20+ years of experience
• in the construction industry.
• Significant experience working with
• reputed Main Contractors
• .
• Proven track record delivering large-scale building projects such as:
• High-rise residential/commercial towers
• Luxury villas
• Residential communities
• Mixed-use developments
• Previous UAE/GCC project experience strongly preferred.
• Currently operating at
• Project Director / Senior Project Manager / Construction Director level
• managing large projects.

Technical & Leadership Competencies

• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project controls, contracts, commercial management, and authority requirements.
• Experience managing large multidisciplinary teams and subcontractor packages.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage fast-track projects and work in a demanding contracting environment.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction practices and market dynamics.
