- Lead the development, review, and maintenance of project baseline programs using Primavera P6
- Establish project milestones, critical paths, resource requirements, and project delivery strategies
- Develop detailed construction schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover activities
- Monitor project progress against approved baseline programs and identify schedule deviations
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, executive summaries, and project performance metrics
- Perform delay analysis and assess the impact of variations, design changes, authority approvals, and site constraints on project schedules
- Support the preparation and evaluation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims and contractual correspondence
- Identify potential schedule risks and develop mitigation and recovery plans
- Lead and mentor Planning Engineers and project controls personnel across multiple projects
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams regarding program related matters
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in construction planning and project controls
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Planning Manager role within a reputable Main Contractor environment
- Proven experience delivering major building projects in the UAE and/or GCC region
- Expert user of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Strong understanding of CPM, resource and cost loading, construction sequencing, delay analysis techniques, and EOT preparation
- Excellent understanding of UAE construction practices and contractual frameworks
- Strong leadership and team management skills

Position Overview
- Our client, a leading Main Contracting company in the UAE, is seeking an experienced Planning Manager to lead the planning and project controls function across major building construction projects including high rise towers, residential developments, villa communities, hospitality projects, and mixe
- The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project programs while ensuring alignment with project objectives relating to time, cost, resources, and overall project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, review, and maintenance of project baseline programs using Primavera P6.
- Establish project milestones, critical paths, resource requirements, and project delivery strategies.
- Develop detailed construction schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Ensure project programs accurately reflect project scope, contractual requirements, and execution methodologies.
- Monitor project progress against approved baseline programs and identify schedule deviations.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, executive summaries, and project performance metrics.
- Develop and maintain S curves, manpower histograms, resource forecasts, and productivity analyses.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, risks, and recovery strategies.
- Perform delay analysis and assess the impact of variations, design changes, authority approvals, and site constraints on project schedules.
- Support the preparation and evaluation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims and contractual correspondence.
- Work closely with commercial and contracts teams on claims management and dispute avoidance.
- Maintain detailed project records and supporting documentation for contractual purposes.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in construction planning and project controls.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Planning Manager role within a reputable Main Contractor environment.
- Proven experience delivering major building projects in the UAE and/or GCC region.
- Strong experience across projects including high rise residential and commercial towers, villa developments, mixed use projects, hospitality developments, and residential communities.
- Expert user of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM), resource and cost loading, construction sequencing, delay analysis techniques, EOT preparation, and project controls.
- Excellent understanding of UAE construction practices and contractual frameworks.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive project outcomes.
