Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and update integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
Collect weekly progress updates from package leads, contractors, and vendors and reflect accurate status in the schedule
Track milestones, critical path, slippages, and support recovery planning where needed
Produce regular schedule updates, lookaheads, and reporting packs for project teams
Monitor project spend and commitments and proactively flag risks before overruns occur
Track budget vs actual vs committed costs using SAP extracts, Excel, and in house tools
Maintain variance tracking and analyse cost deviations by WBS / package
Support forecasting updates based on progress, events, and emerging scope changes
Support change control: identify potential scope changes, assess cost impact, and maintain change logs/change records
Assist with month end cost reporting and contribute to Monthly Project Status Reports
Liaise with package leads and project stakeholders to gather reports, minutes of meetings, and cost/scope inputs
Ensure project controls data is accurate, consistent, and ready for leadership reporting

Requirements

5–10 years’ experience in Project Controls, Cost Control, Planning, or Project Planning within a construction contractor or EPC environment
Experience supporting large, complex projects with multiple work packages and subcontractors (FPSO/offshore construction experience is a strong advantage)
Strong understanding of cost control fundamentals: budgets, commitments, actuals, variance analysis, forecasting, and change control
Confident producing schedule updates and progress reporting for project teams
Strong Excel skills and comfort working with SAP cost extracts and reporting tools
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or similar (or strong equivalent experience)
Analytical, detail focused, proactive, and comfortable raising risks early
Primavera P6 and/or MS Project (must have)
SAP + Excel (must have)

Role Overview

eMagine Solutions DMCC is supporting a key client on a challenging energy construction project in Dubai, and we’re looking for a Project Controls / Cost Control professional to join the Project Control team.
Reporting to the Project Control Lead, you’ll support both planning and cost control across multiple work packages building and maintaining schedules, tracking progress, and supporting cost monitoring, forecasting, and change control.
This is an office based role in Dubai, with site visits as required (no rotation).

Planning / Scheduling

Build, maintain, and update integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
