Job Description

  • The main task of a Product Specialist in J&J Innovative Medicine is to represent the company in front of healthcare professionals, ensuring products are used based on their own merit and according to clinical indications.
  • The role promotes registered products within registered indications to increase product access in collaboration with other functions.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Maximize patient share of assigned products through understanding the patient pathway, ensuring sales are maximized and all sales processes respect J&J compliance, Quality guidelines and local laws.
  • Use a multichannel approach to reach out to HCPs (face to face, Email, Phone call, presentations) with set quality and quantity according to CVT strategy.
  • Achieve market share target for the assigned territory.
  • Promote J&J Innovative Medicine's image as a scientific transformational digital innovator within assigned accounts and organize promotional/digital scientific meetings.
  • Full Account Mapping, understanding logistical processes, product listing, contracting, account stakeholders and decision making processes.
  • Develop and maintain long term engagements with customers/stakeholders within accounts (e.g., Directors of Pharmacy, Senior Procurement Managers, Tender Managers, Hospital Management).
  • Identify short and long term business opportunities according to the Business Unit strategy in collaboration with the Market Access team.
  • Fulfill all Customer Interaction Excellence (CIE) index and KPIs within agreed timelines including updating database, accurate reporting of visits, sample handling, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of disease areas, products and competitors through achieving results in scientific quizzes and attending training courses.
  • Organize assigned activities respecting all compliance rules and using the correct CRM system as stipulated in related SOP.
  • Comply with set guidelines, policies and SOPs of J&J and local regulation including local laws, HCBI guidelines, FCPA, pharmacovigilance rules, quality and compliance practices, and global fleet safety standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
  • Good understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Technical/Functional Skills Required

  • Should behave according to Credo and J&J leadership imperatives.
  • Should be highly aware of all factors affecting territory & accounts performance, reporting to manager all information affecting business results.
  • Should show a high sense of urgency and ability to act on business opportunities using analytical skills and disciplined execution.
  • Should show collaborative behavior and ability to work in a team contributing to team business.
  • Required to be competitive always striving to push product to leadership position following compliance rules.
  • Required to report information affecting J&J Innovative Medicine's image or any misconduct by any internal or external stakeholder.
