Role Overview
Procurement Officer role for a furniture company operating in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The role manages end-to-end procurement, supplier relationships, furniture sourcing, project delivery, budget control, and Saudi market compliance.
Key Accountabilities
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international furniture manufacturers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Build and maintain an approved vendor list tailored to the KSA market.
- Review bills of quantities, technical specifications, and project drawings to prepare RFQs and tenders.
- Conduct commercial and technical evaluations and prepare detailed price comparison sheets.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranties, and delivery schedules to maximize cost savings.
- Oversee shipping, customs clearance, and supply chain logistics for imported furniture.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations, including SABER registration and SASO standards.
- Coordinate sample and mock-up approvals with designers and client representatives.
- Track purchase orders from production through site delivery to avoid disruption to project timelines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- At least 6 years of proven procurement experience in furniture, FF&E, or interior fit-out.
- In-depth knowledge of the Saudi Arabian market, local suppliers, and KSA customs regulations.
- Proficiency in reading bills of quantities, technical drawings, and using ERP procurement tools.
- Practical experience with the SABER platform and Saudi import standards.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Professional fluency in English.
