About the Role
ADCB is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer (UAE Nationals only) to manage design, implementation, and technical artefacts for technology lifecycles. The role requires 5+ years of enterprise network experience, Cisco certifications, and knowledge of network security and data technologies.

Responsibilities
- Manage design, implementation and technical artefacts for technology lifecycles within ADCB engineering standards
- Build and implement standard and repeatable design patterns, components and technology solutions
- Maintain and share current thinking and trends around technology practices, mentoring and coaching engineers
- Oversee day to day implementation of technology and digital strategy, roadmaps and prioritised initiatives
- Guide, coach and role model a data driven approach, including producing reporting and insights
- Play a lead role with engineering teams around change control, testing, incident management, troubleshooting and release management
- Identify opportunities for innovation and improvements in software development process and tools
- Contribute to engineering acceleration initiatives across ADCB
- Oversee coordination with external vendors to ensure services are provided as per agreed SLAs and TATs
- Work closely with solution architects and vendors to enhance ADCB capabilities and address technical debt
- Manage self and team in line with ADCB's people management policies
- Implement approved departmental policies, processes and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience in design and deployment of an enterprise class network in a mid/large organisation
- At least 3 years of experience in incident management and resolution, managing software releases and configuration management, Banking operations and related problems
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Engineer (Data Centre, Security, Route/Switch) or equivalent
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) – Foundation Course for IT Service Management
- Knowledge of Data Network technologies and protocols (routers, switches, network controllers, NFV, BGP, MPLS, QoS, DNS/DHCP)
- Knowledge of Network Security technologies and protocols (Firewall, IPS, WAF, VPN, IPSEC, DDoS, NAT, 802.1x, SWG, UTM, TLS)
- Knowledge of Information Processes and Technology (IPT) and Unified Communications technologies
- Problem management and analysis
