Principal Insights Analyst

Job Purpose

In This Role

• Manage business engagement from problem statement and hypothesis through methodology selection, data collection oversight, and analysis.
• Deliver complex insights using visualizations and narratives that translate analysis into actionable outcomes.
• Define measures, metrics, and KPIs with business stakeholders for analytical products.
• Lead, coach, and develop direct reports to support robust and timely delivery.
• Improve analytical capabilities and self-service analytics through federated analytics communities.
• Build an inclusive enterprise Insights and Analytics community across functional lines of business.
• Apply data models and business logic frameworks to deliver high-value projects.
• Ensure quality, usability, and business ownership are embedded in each use case.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree or Honours in Business or Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification, from an internationally recognised university.
• At least 8 years of experience in IT or a related field.
• Experience with data warehouses, data lakes, and visualization toolsets.
• Experience in one or more business domains such as customer, commercial, operations, finance, or human resources.

Knowledge and Skills

• Understanding of enterprise data warehouse logical modeling approaches, including 3NF, Data Vault, and Star Schema.
• Experience in complex enterprise data and analytics environments and diverse international teams.
• Strong analytics, business intelligence, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of data warehousing principles, statistics, mathematics, analytical methods, and airline KPIs.
• Hands-on knowledge of SQL, Python, or R.
