Role overview

Own technology product backlogs and act as the voice of the customer across designated products and underlying applications.

Lead product lifecycle activities from concept through operations while enabling business objectives and strategic outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Own backlogs covering features, functional and non-functional requirements, business-as-usual work, technical debt, spikes, and ceremonies.
  • Define story content, acceptance criteria, prioritization, and final story sign-off.
  • Capture and prioritize technical debt, non-functional requirements, risks, dependencies, and team activities.
  • Prepare program increment demo contributions and participate in product management meetings, including planning.
  • Define success metrics for prioritized work and support subsequent business-as-usual iterations.
  • Build the Product Owner community and contribute to product management practice improvements.
  • Capture team innovation ideas and consolidate them for the Technical Product Manager community.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Honours qualification equivalent to 12+3 in IT.
  • At least 5 years of Information Technology experience, including at least 2 years as a Product Owner or Product Manager.
  • Proven record of driving change and delivery at pace.
  • Training and certification in a global product framework such as CSPO, SAFe, or PSPO.
  • Demonstrated technical or domain expertise and awareness of relevant regulatory changes.
  • Familiarity with product management tools for software delivery.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer-centric skills.
