Supervision and Pool Safety
- Constantly observe pool users to prevent accidents or drownings.
- Maintain clear visibility and rotate positions regularly to cover all pool zones.
- Ensure swimmers follow pool safety rules, including restrictions on running and shallow-water diving.
- Educate visitors on pool safety when necessary.
Emergency Response
- Perform rescues in case of drowning or distress.
- Provide first aid or CPR when needed.
- Coordinate with emergency services if required.
Safety Checks
- Inspect safety and rescue equipment such as flotation devices and spine boards.
- Check chlorine and pH levels and report water quality issues.
- Report and remove hazards in and around the pool.
Guest Service and Documentation
- Assist swimmers with queries or concerns.
- Provide a welcoming and safe environment for all guests.
- Record incidents, rescues, and maintenance checks.
- Maintain logs of water test results and inspections.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong swimming skills are required for the role.
- Alertness and quick reaction time are required.
- Confidence in handling emergencies is required.
- Good communication and people skills are required.
- Physical fitness is required.
- A pool lifeguard license is required.
Work Arrangement
- The role is performed in person.
- The employment arrangement is full-time and permanent.
