Key Responsibilities
- Constantly observe pool users and maintain visibility across all pool zones.
- Enforce pool safety rules and educate visitors when necessary.
- Perform rescues and provide first aid or CPR during emergencies.
- Coordinate with emergency services when required.
- Inspect safety and rescue equipment.
- Check chlorine and pH levels and report water quality issues.
- Report and remove hazards around the pool.
- Assist swimmers and provide a welcoming, safe guest environment.
- Record incidents, rescues, maintenance checks, water tests, and inspections.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong swimming skills, alertness, and quick reaction time.
- Confidence handling emergencies and good communication and people skills.
- Physical fitness.
- Pool lifeguard license is required.
Workplace
- Work location is in person.
