About the Role
Sofitel Dubai The Palm is seeking a Pastry Commis Chef to assist in producing pastries and desserts. The role requires a passion for pastry, previous kitchen experience, and a qualification in pastry/culinary is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Produce all necessary food for all food service operations as required and instructed by the Executive Pastry Chef
- Maintain quality and quantity control in all aspects, from portion control to freshness of the product presented
- Be familiar with other kitchen sections, promoting flexibility and productivity
- Ensure all food produced is in line with kitchen recipes and standards
Requirements
- Passion for Pastry and willingness to learn
- Ideally a qualification in pastry/culinary
- Previous experience as a Pastry Commis Chef
- Previous experience working in a busy kitchen
- Reliable and hardworking
- Team player with ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, strong work ethic and positive attitude
