General Summary
The Packaging Machine Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of snack packaging machinery under general supervision.
The position is based in Beloit, Wisconsin, on the third shift, with a base rate of $22.50 per hour.
Shift and Schedule
- The third shift generally starts as early as 10:45 PM and ends at 7:00 AM.
- Starting times and hours may vary due to coverage, report-offs, production schedules, and holidays.
- Overtime may be required, including mandatory overtime. Good attendance and punctuality are required.
Production and Equipment
- Maintain shift documentation, read production schedules, and interpret schedules in MicroStrategy.
- Operate packaging equipment, including case sealers and robot cells, through setup, troubleshooting, changeovers, adjustments, sanitation, maintenance, and shutdown.
- Set up bag-maker programs, edit machine logic, modify code dates, and perform nitrogen testing.
Quality and Materials
- Maintain roll stock and packaging materials, print labels, monitor codes, dates, prices, seals, machine speeds, product appearance, and weight control.
