Role Overview
Lead inbound and outbound ground domestic logistics operations for CEVA Freight LLC in Des Plaines, Illinois.
Oversee site performance, customer service, profitability, cost efficiency, policy adherence, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage ground operations and ensure staff execute customer service agreements at or above customer standards.
- Oversee B2B and B2C deliveries and pickups, customer communication, and timely resolution of pending matters.
- Manage revenue, expenses, billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and contractor settlements within budget.
- Plan staffing schedules, adjust coverage to operational demand, and allocate work assignments.
- Communicate operational rules and procedures to staff and maintain a clean, professional, and safe work environment.
- Oversee safety programs and freight handling with appropriate equipment and tools.
- Manage administrative paperwork to ensure timely and compliant processing.
- Support RFP quotes, tariff pricing, business development, and onboarding of new customers.
- Provide coaching, training, mentorship, and career development for subordinate staff.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 24 months of experience in ground operations leadership.
- Experience in P&L management, supply chain management, customer service, contract negotiation, and continuous improvement.
- Experience with new client onboarding, independent contractor relations, and driver relations.
Compensation
- Offered salary is $124,322 per year.
