About the Role

  • The Operations Manager is responsible for the day to day running of the company Market’s operations across store, café, online, catering and market.
  • Reporting directly to the CEO, the role ensures that every part of the business runs smoothly, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard.
  • This is a hands on role for someone who can balance operational discipline with practical problem solving, keeping costs under control, maintaining food quality and safety, developing the team, and ensuring customers receive a reliable, high quality experience every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day to day operations of grocery, café, online business and catering.
  • Ensure all units open, run, and close according to agreed standards.
  • Coordinate between personnel to keep workflows smooth and avoid bottlenecks.
  • Oversee sourcing, purchasing, and supplier relationships.
  • Manage inventory levels, stock control, and demand planning to avoid shortages and overstocking.
  • Monitor wastage and put controls in place to reduce loss.
  • Lead, schedule, and supervise the operations team.
  • Plan manpower around peak times, seasonality, and business needs.
  • Train, coach, and develop staff to build a strong, accountable team.
  • Maintain food safety, hygiene, and quality standards across all areas.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Control operating costs and work to improve margins.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in F&B with cloud kitchen operations, OR solid experience in a hypermarket with deli operations (essential).
  • Proven experience managing multi channel or multi site operations.
  • Good working knowledge of inventory, ERP, and POS systems.
  • Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
  • Strong financial awareness: cost control, margins, and basic unit economics.
  • Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills.
  • Hands on, practical, and comfortable working on the floor and behind the numbers.
