Job Description

Egis is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Inspector with 10 years of field experience for its site supervision team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The role ensures mechanical systems, equipment, and installations meet quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site inspections of mechanical equipment, systems, and components.
  • Assess HVAC, piping, industrial machinery, plumbing, firefighting, gas, and fuel systems.
  • Identify, document, and report defects and non-conformities.
  • Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to resolve issues and verify corrective actions.
  • Apply relevant standards, regulations, best practices, and Saudi codes.
  • Participate in project meetings and maintain safety compliance.
  • Mentor junior inspection staff and communicate findings clearly.
  • Use inspection software and documentation tools efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in mechanical building services, including installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning.
  • Expertise in inspecting HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, gas, and fuel systems.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, components, materials, and building services.
  • Proficiency in inspection techniques, quality control, ASHRAE, NFPA, and Saudi codes.
  • Experience with inspection, documentation, and reporting software.
  • Understanding of construction sequencing, project lifecycle management, and site operations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-pressure environments.
  • Engineering consultancy experience and leadership or mentoring capabilities are preferred.
  • Willingness to work across Riyadh project sites and, if required, elsewhere in Saudi Arabia.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project locations.

  • The position requires travel to multiple project locations as needed.
