The role is for an Architectural Inspector supporting site supervision in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The inspector will assess architectural and structural elements for compliance with the Saudi Building Code and construction standards.
The position emphasizes quality, safety, organization, and detailed inspection reporting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of buildings and construction projects for compliance with the Saudi Building Code and approved specifications.
- Analyze architectural drawings, plans, and technical documentation.
- Evaluate building materials, construction methodologies, and structural integrity.
- Document findings, observations, and non-conformances in detailed reports.
- Identify code violations, safety hazards, and other non-compliance issues.
- Verify construction practices against approved permits, licenses, and regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers on corrective actions.
- Maintain inspection, reporting, and correspondence records.
- Stay current with Saudi Arabian building codes and construction standards.
- Provide recommendations for remediation and improvements.
Required qualifications
- Proven experience as an Architectural Inspector or in a similar construction or consultancy inspection role.
- In-depth knowledge of the Saudi Building Code and local construction standards and regulations.
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles, building systems, and structural integrity assessment.
- Proficiency in technical documentation, report writing, and data organization.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for complex architectural and structural assessments.
- Proficiency with CAD software and digital inspection tools.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, building materials, and construction methodologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspection assignments simultaneously.
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with inspection management systems and digital documentation platforms.
- Knowledge of international building standards and best practices.
- Project management experience in construction or related fields.
