About the Role

- Evaluate and select advanced materials including high performance alloys, ceramics, composites, and nanomaterials
- Define and develop coating system architectures such as multi layer Thermal Barrier Coatings
- Investigate, qualify, and implement advanced materials for high temperature applications
- Address material related challenges including substitutions and obsolescence
- Lead material testing campaigns for high temperature tensile, creep, and fatigue properties
- Develop approaches coupling simulation with experimental validation using computational tools
- Contribute to cross functional engineering teams supporting technology development and product innovation
Requirements
- University degree in Mechanical engineering or related field (Master/Bachelor/Diploma) or comparable qualification
- 8+ years of work experience in Mechanical Design and Development with strong focus on material selection
- Know how of Mechanical design and proficiency in specifying and implementing different materials based on application
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent English language skills

A Snapshot of Your Day
- You will be a key player in the Mechanical engineering team, focusing on design, analysis, and manufacturing support for turbomachinery hardware.
- You will work collaboratively with various departments to execute Fields of Action co creation projects.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Evaluate and select advanced materials aligned with industry standards, including high performance alloys, ceramics, composites, and nanomaterials.
- Define and develop coating system architectures, including multi layer Thermal Barrier Coatings.
- Investigate, qualify, and implement advanced materials for demanding high temperature environments.
- Address material related challenges including substitutions and obsolescence.
- Lead material testing campaigns for high temperature tensile, creep, and fatigue properties.
- Develop approaches coupling simulation with experimental validation using computational tools.
- Contribute actively to cross functional engineering teams supporting technology development and product innovation.
- Foster collaboration across global engineering and innovation centers.
What You Bring
- University degree in Mechanical engineering or related field (Master/Bachelor/Diploma) or comparable qualification with 8+ years of work experience in Mechanical Design and Development.
- Know how of Mechanical design and proficiency in specifying and implementing different materials based on application.
- Proven track record of co creation with customers or similar collaborative projects preferred.
- High energy, enthusiasm, and focus on achieving results.
- Willingness to take on challenging projects.
- Excellent problem solving skills and English language skills.
