Role Overview
The Material Engineer will manage material testing, quality compliance, and material approvals for landscape and swimming pool execution projects.
The role requires practical, site-based experience gained within a UAE contracting environment.
Responsibilities
- Review and approve landscape material submittals covering soil, planting media, irrigation components, and hardscape materials.
- Review and approve swimming pool materials including waterproofing, finishes, tiling, and mechanical or filtration components.
- Coordinate sampling and laboratory testing according to project specifications and UAE authority requirements.
- Maintain material registers, test certificates, and traceability records.
- Coordinate with laboratories and suppliers for timely testing and certification.
- Inspect delivered and installed materials against approved submittals.
- Support QA/QC resolution of material-related non-conformances.
- Prepare approval submissions and technical data sheets for consultant and client review.
- Monitor site storage and handling practices.
