Role Overview
Maintain and optimize Niagara4-based building automation and integrated fire alarm automation systems.
Ensure system reliability, performance, security, and continuous improvement.
Systems Maintenance
- Monitor system functionality and prepare daily health reports.
- Investigate alarms, faults, and failures using root cause analysis.
- Manage Niagara user accounts and monitor access activity.
- Manage software backups and perform restorations when required.
- Troubleshoot Niagara communications with connected equipment and devices.
- Configure IP addressing and server communication ports.
- Optimize and fine-tune automation systems.
- Maintain servers, workstations, and JACE controllers.
Security and Compliance
- Address security alerts raised by Operations and IT departments.
- Support system expansion projects and verify vendor and contractor compliance.
- Conduct automation-system audits and inspections.
- Maintain accurate Niagara system configurations and graphics.
Technical Development and Support
- Develop and maintain SQL scripts and configurations for reporting.
- Develop software solutions that improve system performance and daily operations.
- Coordinate with software developers and relevant departments on automation requirements.
- Manage TRIDIUM SMA agreements, including patches, bug fixes, and version upgrades.
Requirements
- Experience maintaining and optimizing Niagara4-based building automation and integrated fire alarm automation systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot alarms, faults, failures, communication issues, networking, and virtual machine problems.
- Ability to administer Niagara user accounts according to approved access levels and monitor user activity.
- Ability to manage backups, restorations, system configurations, graphics, and related IT equipment.
- Experience with SQL database scripts and configurations for reporting requirements.
- Ability to address security alerts and report access or security violations.
- Ability to support system expansion projects and verify vendor and contractor compliance.
- Ability to develop software solutions and perform system optimization and continuous improvement.
- Experience managing TRIDIUM SMA agreements, including patches, bug fixes, and version upgrades.
