Overview
The Contract Advisor provides professional contractual and commercial support in the development, administration, and management of contracts within the assigned organization.
The role serves as the Contract Proponent representative and provides expert advice throughout the contract lifecycle, from development of requirements and scope of work through execution, administration, amendments, claims, renewals, and close-out.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional contractual and commercial advice to contract proponents throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Support the development of contract requirements, scopes of work, commercial terms, and contract documentation.
- Review and coordinate contracts and amendments through internal review, approval, and execution processes.
- Administer assigned contracts and monitor contractor performance, compliance, deliverables, milestones, and contractual obligations.
- Coordinate contract amendments, extensions, renewals, terminations, and other contract actions.
- Review proposals, bid responses, pricing structures, and contractual terms and provide recommendations.
- Participate in bid evaluations, bidder qualification, contract negotiations, and preparation of negotiation positions and counteroffers.
