Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed geological, structural, alteration, mineralization, and geotechnical logging of diamond drill core.
• Record lithological units, mineral assemblages, alteration styles, and structural features accurately.
• Support exploration targeting by interpreting geology and integrating drilling data.
• Manage sample selection, marking, and preparation under QA/QC procedures.
• Maintain geological databases and ensure data integrity.
• Coordinate drilling activities and core handling with contractors and exploration teams.
• Assist with geological mapping, trench logging, and field reconnaissance.
• Interpret exploration results and contribute to technical reports and daily progress updates.
• Follow HSE policies and support resource evaluation with accurate geological data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Applied Geology, or a related Earth Science discipline.
• At least five years of hands-on field experience in mineral exploration.
• Core logging expertise in base metal exploration and significant gold exploration experience.
• Strong knowledge of structural geology, alteration mineralogy, and ore deposit geology.
• Experience with geological logging software and database management systems.
• Knowledge of QA/QC protocols for drilling and sampling.
• Ability to work independently in remote field locations under challenging conditions.
• Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and geological data management software.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with greenfield and brownfield exploration projects.
• Familiarity with industry reporting standards and exploration best practices.
• Ability to interpret geological data and contribute to exploration targeting.
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.

Work Environment

• Field-based role with extended rotations at remote exploration sites.
• Travel and flexible schedules may be required based on project needs.
