The Context
Logistics Manager responsible for warehouse operations and logistics activities across Abu Dhabi Airports storage locations.
The role covers material management, fleet operations, staff leadership, safety compliance, and ERP-driven inventory control.
The role is full-time and on-site in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Warehouse and Logistics Operations
- Oversee receipt, inspection, storage, preservation, issuance, and distribution of materials.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and manage scrap handling, disposal, and scrap tender sales.
- Oversee maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and machinery.
Team Management
- Lead, motivate, and supervise warehouse and logistics staff.
- Conduct meetings, identify training needs, implement performance improvements, and measure staff KPIs.
- Provide ongoing performance feedback and development support.
Fleet and Procurement Coordination
- Manage fleet operations and coordinate with procurement and operational departments.
- Resolve operational and material-related issues with end users and procurement teams.
ERP, Inventory, and Finance
- Oversee inventory documentation, ERP transactions, and audit records.
- Monitor slow-moving and non-moving items and manage budgets and statistical and financial records.
- Monitor outsourced service provider performance against agreed standards.
HSE and Compliance
- Organize safety drills and promote safety awareness with HSE and AES teams.
- Support risk assessment reviews and ensure HSE procedures are followed.
- Ensure corrective actions are addressed promptly.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
- Specialized training in Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, or Inventory Management.
- 7+ years in a supervisory warehouse operations, logistics, or related role.
- Strong practical knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics systems.
- ERP proficiency with solid Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety systems, first aid, and fire prevention practices.
- Written and spoken English and Arabic skills.
- Strong judgment, problem-solving, and negotiation capabilities.
Salary Benchmark
- The supplied posting cites a market benchmark of AED 22,000–34,000 per month for a Logistics Manager with 7+ years of relevant experience.
