About the Role

Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and escort them to elevators, outlets, or other public areas as requested
- Offer welcome drinks and towels to check in guests or site inspections
- Set up and maintain Arabic coffee service in the lobby
- Prepare and serve food and beverages as per hotel standards
- Sell and up sell the Lobby Expresso menu
- Promote hotel outlets, services, and internal activities to guests
- Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of the lobby area
- Handle guest complaints professionally and resolve to satisfaction
- Attend daily line up briefings and read logbook
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel environment preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide personalized service to guests
- Knowledge of hotel operations and guest service standards
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and holidays

Main Duties
- Administration: Be an ambassador of the hotel; do proper filing and handover; be aware of VIPs; properly use equipment and PMS; respect key handling procedures; follow checklists; respect schedules; read logbook; attend daily line up; share activity highlights; promote loyalty programs.
- Financial and Revenue: Sell and up sell Lobby Expresso menu; present outlets and describe hotel services; promote internal activities and events.
- Training and Human Resources: Ensure workplace free of discrimination; treat complaints promptly; treat customers and colleagues with respect; identify cross cultural issues.
- Guest Service: Provide personalized service; welcome guests; offer welcome drinks and towels; set up Arabic coffee service; prepare and serve F&B; ensure cleanliness; use proper telephone etiquette; socialize with guests; manage complaints; report guest comments.
- Miscellaneous: Be flexible and extend job duties; respond to changes as dictated by hotel needs.
General Duties
- Health and Safety: Report hazards; be conversant with fire, emergency, and bomb procedures; ensure safety of persons and property; use safe manual handling techniques; follow HSE policies.
- Confidentiality: Ensure confidentiality of intellectual property and data; adhere to Internet and Email policy.
- Be fully conversant with hotel fire, security, and H&S procedures; hotel facilities; standards of operation; Sofitel Keys of Luxury; BE Magnifique vision; accepted payment methods; marketing promotions.
