Responsibilities
- Sort soiled guestroom and food & beverage linens as required, filling containers and preparing them for pick up with accurate labeling
- Identify and set aside misused or damaged linen for further investigation and reporting
- Report any foreign articles found within the linen or chute area to the Supervisor immediately
- Fold, roll, and organize clean towels, bathrobes, and room linens into containers for distribution by floor staff
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment
- Assist with washing towels and linens when required, following all guidelines for chemical handling and proper lifting techniques
- Report any equipment malfunctions or potential health and safety hazards to the Supervisor promptly
- Support other team members and assist with additional duties within the laundry area as needed
- Attend training courses and professional development sessions provided by the Housekeeping and Human Resources departments
Requirements
- High School diploma or vocational training certification
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in laundry operations or housekeeping (preferred)
- Basic understanding of the English language, both written and verbal
- Physical capability to lift, carry, and handle items weighing up to 25 lbs regularly
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures consistently and accurately
- Knowledge of health and safety protocols and chemical handling best practices
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills with a collaborative mindset
- Reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic
- Physical stamina and endurance for a fast paced laundry environment
