Job Description

  • Sort soiled guestroom and food & beverage linens as required, filling containers and preparing them for pick up with accurate labeling.
  • Identify and set aside misused or damaged linen for further investigation and reporting.
  • Report any foreign articles found within the linen or chute area to the Supervisor immediately.
  • Fold, roll, and organize clean towels, bathrobes, and room linens into containers for distribution by floor staff.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment such as masks and gloves.
  • Assist with washing towels and linens when required, following all guidelines for chemical handling and proper lifting techniques.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or potential health and safety hazards to the Supervisor promptly.
  • Support other team members and assist with additional duties within the laundry area as needed.
  • Attend training courses and professional development sessions provided by the Housekeeping and Human Resources departments.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or vocational training certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in laundry operations or housekeeping (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Physical capability to lift, carry, and handle items weighing up to 25 lbs regularly.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures consistently and accurately.
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols and chemical handling best practices.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
  • Physical stamina and endurance for a fast paced laundry environment.
  • Previous experience in luxury hotel housekeeping operations (preferred).
  • Problem solving ability and resilience in a dynamic work setting.
