- Attend all laundry and dry cleaning operations following hotel standards
- Follow linen and uniforms laundry flows and respect established cycles
- Use all machines and equipment with proper knowledge and care
- Handle and store chemicals with proper care, using correct formulas
- Report any damage or malfunctioning to superior immediately
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of working area and stores
- Ensure proper handling of lost and found items
- Participate in monthly inventories
- Follow up daily check lists
- Respect telephone etiquette as per Sofitel standards

- Knowledge of laundry and dry cleaning operations
- Ability to follow hotel standards and procedures
- Knowledge of textiles and their proper care
- Ability to handle and store chemicals safely

Main Duties
- To attend all laundry and dry cleaning operations, following the hotel standards and procedures.
- To follow the linen and uniforms laundry flows and to respect the established cycles and instructions.
- To have a full knowledge of all the textiles and their proper care.
- To use all the machines and equipment with proper knowledge, care and maintenance.
- To handle and store chemicals with proper care, and to use correct formulas, following all healthy and safety regulations.
- To immediately report to superior any damage or malfunctioning in the laundry equipment or operations, including linen and uniforms status.
- To maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the working area and stores.
- To ensure proper handling of lost and found items.
- To participate in monthly inventories.
- To follow up daily check lists.
- To respect the telephone etiquette as per Sofitel standards.
- To report any guest comment or complaint.
Other Duties
- To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag.
- To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
- To provide friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.
- To maintain good working relationships with your colleagues and all other departments.
- To ensure you read the hotel’s Employee Handbook and adhere to rules and regulations.
- To comply with local legislation as required.
- To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the hotel.
- To be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties.
- To attend training and meetings as and when required.
Health and Safety
- Ensure that all potential and real Hazards are reported immediately and rectified.
- Be fully conversant with all departmental Fire, Emergency and Bomb procedures.
- Ensure that all emergency procedures are rehearsed, implemented and enforced.
- Ensure the safety of the persons and the property of all within the premises.
- Ensure all staff within the department work in a safe manner.
- Use safe manual handling techniques and practise safe work habits following Accor Health, Safety and Environment policies.
Confidentiality
- Ensure confidentiality and secure storage of all intellectual property and data bases.
- Adhere to Accor Internet and Email policy.
- Ensure Hotel, Customer and Staff information or transactions are kept confidential.
