Role Overview
Perform accurate field measurements, boundary assessments, and topographic mapping for engineering and construction projects.
The role requires strong technical skills, knowledge of surveying principles, and effective collaboration with design and construction teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct land, topographic, and construction surveys using GPS, total stations, and other precision equipment.
- Interpret and analyze survey data to produce maps, site layouts, and reports.
- Establish control points, boundaries, and benchmarks according to project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to integrate survey results into designs.
- Ensure survey work complies with legal standards, project requirements, and health and safety regulations.
- Maintain and calibrate survey equipment regularly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare technical documentation, including drawings, records, and reports.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure alignment with design layouts and elevations.
- Resolve discrepancies between design data and actual field conditions.
- Supervise junior survey staff and coordinate survey tasks on-site.
Requirements
- Strong technical skills and a deep understanding of surveying principles.
- Ability to perform accurate field measurements, boundary assessments, and topographic mapping.
