Land Surveyor

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct land, topographic, setting-out, and construction surveys.
• Collect field data using Total Station, GPS/GNSS, and leveling equipment.
• Establish and verify benchmarks, control points, reference points, and coordinates.
• Set out building lines, levels, grids, boundaries, and construction requirements.
• Prepare and interpret survey drawings, site plans, and topographical maps.
• Verify dimensions, elevations, coordinates, and alignment against approved drawings.
• Coordinate with civil engineers, architects, project engineers, and site teams.
• Analyze survey data and prepare drawings and reports using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Identify discrepancies between site conditions and approved drawings.
• Maintain survey records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with UAE standards, project specifications, and authority requirements.
• Maintain and operate surveying instruments and equipment.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in surveying, civil engineering, geomatics, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant land surveying experience, preferably within the UAE.
• Strong hands-on experience with Total Station, GPS/GNSS, auto or digital levels, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Ability to interpret civil, architectural, and construction drawings.
• Understanding of coordinates, levels, elevations, benchmarks, and setting-out procedures.
• Ability to work independently and effectively on construction sites.

Preferred Qualifications

• A valid UAE driving licence is preferred because the role requires regular site travel.
• UAE construction or infrastructure experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with UAE municipal and surveying requirements is preferred.
• Experience in urban, desert, or coastal environments is preferred.
• GIS software knowledge and Arabic language knowledge are advantageous.
• Good command of English is preferred.

Work Location

• The work location is the UAE, with work performed in person and on active construction sites.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 4,000–5,000 per month.
