The Junior Procurement and Material Coordinator supports procurement and materials coordination for interior design and fit-out projects.
The role works with the Decor and Materials Specialist on sourcing, quotations, supplier follow-up, documentation, and coordination across multiple projects.
The position is designed for an organized, detail-oriented, proactive early-career candidate who wants to develop in procurement and interior fit-out.
Supplier and Procurement Support
- Contact suppliers for quotations, product information, availability, and lead times.
- Review quotations for quantities, specifications, dimensions, finishes, pricing, and missing information.
- Follow up on quotations, availability, corrections, and delivery status and research new suppliers when needed.
- Compare quotations, request invoices and supporting documents, and maintain organized procurement records.
Material Coordination
- Prepare and update project material lists and specifications with descriptions, quantities, and prices.
- Research material characteristics and product alternatives based on project requirements.
- Request and coordinate samples, including occasional local collection of samples and small purchases.
- Maintain supplier catalogues, price lists, technical data sheets, product images, and material information.
- Organize the physical material library and support information for moodboards and client presentations.
Mandatory Requirements
- The role is for an entry-level candidate with 1–2 years of hands-on procurement experience in the UAE interior fit-out or renovation industry.
- A valid UAE driving licence and own vehicle are required because local collection of samples and small purchases may be needed.
- Candidates without UAE fit-out or renovation experience, a UAE driving licence, and their own vehicle will not be considered.
Other Requirements
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy are required.
- Good communication and supplier follow-up skills are required.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn are required.
- Good Microsoft Office knowledge, particularly Excel, is required.
- Knowledge of interior materials, finishes, furniture, and design is advantageous.
Development Environment
The successful candidate will initially work under close guidance and training.
The role offers progressively greater ownership of procurement and materials coordination tasks as knowledge develops.
