Jacket Structural Engineer

Job Summary

Principal Responsibilities

• Perform jacket structural design, calculations, report compilation, technical management, proofreading, and review.
• Provide procurement technical support, including bid document preparation, bid evaluation, clarification, drawing review, and FAT support.
• Coordinate with the client to resolve project and related technical issues.
• Coordinate with clients, classification societies, third parties, and regulatory review bodies to resolve problems and review comments.
• Provide regular technical training and guidance to designers, with at least 10 sessions or 40 hours of training per year.
• Provide site survey and offshore survey technical support.
• Provide fabrication technical support.
• Provide jacket installation technical support.
• Complete other related tasks assigned by the company.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or above.
• Over 8 years of offshore jacket structural engineering experience.
• Middle East project experience is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with jacket structural engineering, international codes, specifications, industry regulations, and applicable policies.
• Relevant standards include API, ISO, ASME, SHELL DEP, and regulations applicable to Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
• Proficiency with SACS, MOSES, ANSYS, and USFOS.
• Proficiency with office software such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Work Requirements

• Demonstrate diligence, rigor, responsibility, and willingness to work overtime when required.
• Have good learning ability and actively learn new skills and knowledge.
• Have experience in on-site cooperation and be willing to travel domestically or overseas as project work requires.
• Work may take place at offshore oil and gas facilities.
• Possess English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills that meet job requirements.

Employment Arrangement

• The position uses third-party staffing, with employees entering an employment contract through an HR agency to provide services to COOEC.
