IT Support Engineer

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level and second-level technical support to employees.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
• Monitor and maintain IT systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Assist with user account management, password resets, and access control.
• Configure and support Microsoft Windows, Office 365, and related business applications.
• Perform regular system updates, backups, and maintenance activities.
• Document IT issues, solutions, and support activities.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT-related services and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with company IT policies and cybersecurity standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in IT support, helpdesk, or system administration roles.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking concepts, and computer hardware.
• Experience with Office 365, Active Directory, and email systems.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of cloud technologies and virtualization platforms.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and endpoint security solutions.
• Experience with network devices, routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or Cisco certifications are an advantage.
