Governance and compliance
- Develop and update IT policies, procedures, and standards aligned with COBIT, ISO 38500, ITIL, and national frameworks.
- Monitor compliance across departments and provide corrective guidance.
- Prepare periodic compliance reports for senior leadership.
Risk management
- Identify, assess, and document IT risks with cybersecurity, PMO, and operational teams.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation and treatment plans.
- Continuously monitor risk levels and recommend necessary actions.
Strategy and portfolio alignment
- Support development and review of IT and digital transformation strategies.
- Evaluate IT projects against strategic goals and digital government priorities.
- Maintain policies for project, change, incident, asset, and business continuity management.
Quality and performance
- Develop KPIs to measure IT governance effectiveness.
- Monitor IT service performance and compliance with SLAs.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly performance dashboards for leadership.
Documentation and audits
- Maintain governance policies, procedures, templates, and guidelines.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure audit readiness.
- Address audit findings and recommend process and control improvements.
Digital government standards
- Ensure alignment with Sharjah Digital Government requirements and relevant UAE frameworks.
- Support compliance with Digital Government Maturity and related digital initiatives.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in IT governance, compliance, or risk management.
- Strong knowledge of COBIT, ITIL, ISO 38500, ISO 27001, and ISO 20000.
- Knowledge of NESA, TDRA, and national digital governance standards.
- Experience drafting IT policies and governance documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and senior leadership reporting skills.
Preferred certifications
- COBIT Foundation certification is preferred.
- ITIL 4 Foundation certification is preferred.
- ISO 27001 Lead Implementer certification is preferred.
- CGEIT or a similar certification is an advantage.
