Job Summary

  • The Inventory Controller is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, conducting regular stock audits, and ensuring the efficient movement of inventory within the organization.
  • The role involves coordinating with procurement, warehouse, logistics, and sales teams to minimize inventory discrepancies, prevent stock shortages or overstocking, and ensure the availability of materials and products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system.
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inventory reconciliations.
  • Conduct physical stock counts and cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
  • Track inventory movements, including receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and adjustments.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels to prevent shortages and excess inventory.
  • Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing goods against supporting documentation.
  • Prepare inventory reports, stock valuation reports, and management summaries.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and identification of inventory items.
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel to maintain organized storage locations.
  • Investigate inventory variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor slow moving, obsolete, and damaged inventory and report findings to management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or stock management.
  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, FACTS ERP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control procedures and warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the construction, retail, manufacturing, or home appliances industry.
  • Certification in Inventory Management, Supply Chain, or Logistics is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of barcode scanning systems and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Familiarity with inventory forecasting and demand planning.
  • Experience supporting inventory audits and compliance requirements.
