Role Overview

TGP International is seeking an experienced and highly creative Senior Associate or Associate Director for its Interior Design team.

The role offers significant studio responsibility, client exposure, and direct contribution to hospitality projects.

The position combines creative design leadership with commercial and project delivery responsibilities.

TGP International is a global hospitality consultancy based in London, Dubai, and Cairo.

The consultancy works across concept development, interior design, branding, graphic design, advisory, franchising, operations, and project management.

Its multidisciplinary team includes interior designers, brand designers, strategists, advisors, chefs, and hospitality operators.

Design Focus

The team creates restaurants, bars, food halls, and hospitality destinations with a focus on memorable guest experiences.

The role requires understanding how exceptional design can transform the guest experience.

Design Expertise

  • Deliver creative solutions across multiple small, medium, and large-scale projects and geographies.
  • Lead projects and the creative process from concept to delivery with a strong design narrative.
  • Contribute hands-on to concept development, design presentations, test fits, spatial planning, and 3D models.
  • Review drawing packages, finishes, and FF&E specifications and coordinate design intent with technical requirements.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of design detailing, materials, finishes, fixtures, furniture, fabrication, and construction processes.
  • Build relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, makers, and other industry partners.

Project Leadership and Management

  • Take accountability for creative and commercial project delivery to TGP quality standards.
  • Remain involved throughout concept, design development, documentation, and delivery.
  • Make decisions on resourcing, priorities, workflows, responsibilities, resource tracking, and project scheduling.
  • Manage projects against programmes, budgets, contractual scope, and commercial requirements.
  • Identify project risks and work with leadership to resolve them.
  • Report project progress, resourcing, and key issues to the leadership team.

Team Development and Management

  • Foster a collaborative environment where knowledge and best practice are shared.
  • Lead, mentor, and train junior team members to support their professional and creative development.
  • Support department resource planning, forecasting, project allocation, and department administration.
  • Manage workloads and workflows across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Contribute positively to studio culture and collaboration.

Client Engagement

  • Manage existing client relationships and maximize opportunities for repeat work.
  • Present creative concepts and design thinking clearly and persuasively to senior client stakeholders.
  • Support new business through events, forums, publications, fee bids, RFPs, and fee negotiations.

Software Proficiency

  • Software proficiency includes Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Miro and Asana is advantageous.

Working Model

  • The role is based in the Covent Garden studio in London.
  • The working model is hybrid, with three days per week in the studio and two days working remotely from home.

Requirements

  • The candidate should be an accomplished hospitality designer and creative leader.
  • Experience delivering interior design projects from concept through design development, documentation, and delivery is required.
  • Strong knowledge of design detailing, materials, finishes, fixtures, furniture, fabrication, and construction processes is required.
  • Experience coordinating clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, and makers is required.
  • Experience managing project programmes, budgets, contractual scope, and commercial requirements is required.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and training junior team members is required.
  • Experience with Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office is listed under software proficiency.
  • Experience with Miro and Asana is advantageous.
