HPE Presales Engineer – Compute, Storage, AI & Data Protection

Job Overview

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end HPE solutions covering ProLiant, Synergy, MSA, Alletra, StoreOnce, StoreEver, and AI/GPU platforms.
• Architect AI/ML, generative AI, LLM inference, GPU acceleration, VDI, HPC, and data-intensive workload solutions.
• Translate RFPs, RFQs, tenders, and customer requirements into technically compliant architectures and BOQs.
• Prepare and validate BOMs and BOQs using HPE OCA, iQuote, sizing tools, and configuration platforms.
• Architect Hyper-V, HPE VM Essentials, and KVM-based virtualization environments.
• Design backup, disaster recovery, and cyber-resilience solutions using Zerto, Commvault, StoreOnce, and tape technologies.
• Develop high availability, disaster recovery, migration, modernization, consolidation, and infrastructure refresh architectures.
• Prepare proposals, diagrams, compliance matrices, presentations, and customer documentation.
• Lead workshops, technical discussions, partner enablement sessions, solution reviews, and customer presentations.
• Resolve configuration, lifecycle, compatibility, and product availability issues with vendor technical teams.
• Support opportunities from requirement gathering through technical validation and proposal closure.
• Optimize solutions for performance, scalability, redundancy, security, supportability, and commercial competitiveness.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of proven experience as a presales engineer with HPE or similar products.
• Strong experience in enterprise infrastructure presales or solution architecture.
• Proven ability to design and size complex data center and AI infrastructure solutions.
• Good understanding of GPU architecture, AI workload sizing, storage performance, and high-speed networking.
• Strong understanding of HPE products, configuration tools, and support offerings.
• Excellent presentation, documentation, and customer-facing communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple opportunities, tenders, and technical engagements simultaneously.
• HPE ASE or Master ASE certification is highly desirable.
• AI, Zerto, Commvault, or other relevant certifications with demonstration or proof-of-concept skills are an advantage.
• Experience working with distributors, system integrators, or enterprise customers is preferred.
