About the Role
Astek is looking for an HIS Application Support Specialist to manage end-to-end support, operations, and continuous improvement of the Hospital Information System, with a primary focus on InterSystems TrakCare.

Responsibilities
- Lead the administration, support, and optimization of InterSystems TrakCare, including core modules such as ADT, Billing, Pharmacy, Orders, and related clinical workflows
- Coordinate with InterSystems and other vendors to resolve issues, manage enhancements, and support effective service delivery
- Oversee daily HIS operations and manage incidents, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to SLAs
- Manage user roles, configurations, and workflow updates to support ongoing operational needs
- Manage integrations between TrakCare and external systems such as LIS, RIS, PACS, ERP, and NPHIES
- Monitor and support interfaces using HL7, FHIR, and APIs, ensuring secure and accurate data exchange across systems
- Support the SDLC for TrakCare enhancements and releases, including upgrades, patches, and improvements
- Ensure proper testing, documentation, and change management processes are followed for all system changes
- Continuously optimize TrakCare usage across clinical and administrative functions by improving workflows, automation, and system efficiency
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, NPHIES, and relevant regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in HIS / EMR systems
- Strong hands on knowledge of InterSystems TrakCare (mandatory)
- Fluency in Arabic and English (mandatory)
- Knowledge of HL7 / FHIR integration standards
- Knowledge of NPHIES workflows
- Knowledge of ZATCA RCM processes
- Knowledge of HIS integrations (Lab, Pharmacy, Radiology)
- SQL and database fundamentals
- Windows OS and networking fundamentals

Qualifications & Experience
