- Deliver engaging safety briefings, toolboxes, and awareness initiatives; conduct specialized VADS safety training
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with client counterparts to ensure high customer service and safety compliance
- Empower and guide operational teams to produce high quality work meeting organizational and client expectations
- Partner with cross functional stakeholders to enhance customer value and drive continuous safety performance improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or relevant professional certification in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
- Demonstrated experience in HSE roles within logistics, warehousing, or high compliance operational environments
- Proven experience supervising site operations and managing ground teams
- Strong working knowledge of incident investigation techniques and RCCA methodologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Full professional proficiency in English
- Outstanding leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing, motivating, and developing operational teams
- Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and problem solving skills under tight operational timelines
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

Overview
- We are hiring for a Health and Safety Specialist within the Road Department in Dubai.
- The Health and Safety Specialist will be directly responsible for overseeing and enforcing health, safety, and environmental standards across all logistics and freight operations dedicated to the AWS account.
- This role ensures total compliance with local regulations, company policies, and strict client specific safety protocols while supporting operational efficiency and service excellence.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Develop, refine, and implement comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) tailored to various operational scenarios, site constraints, and delivery contingencies.
- Supervise all loading and offloading operations to ensure absolute alignment with approved safety procedures, scenario based SOPs, and guidelines.
- Ensure full compliance with local regulations, company policies, and HSE standards. Conduct regular site inspections, comprehensive audits, and detailed risk assessments to identify and proactively mitigate potential hazards.
- Lead the incident reporting, investigation, and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) processes to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and up to date HSE documentation, metrics, and compliance records.
- Deliver engaging safety briefings, toolboxes, and awareness initiatives. Take direct ownership of implementing and conducting specialized VADS safety training for operational and onsite deployment teams.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with client counterparts to ensure the highest level of customer service, safety compliance, and alignment.
- Empower and guide the operational teams to consistently produce and maintain high quality work that meets both organizational and client expectations.
- Partner with cross functional stakeholders, sales, and operations teams to enhance customer value, drive continuous safety performance improvements, and support the expansion of service delivery across the MENA region.
Educational Qualifications & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant professional certification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in HSE roles within logistics, warehousing, or high compliance operational environments.
- Proven experience supervising site operations and managing ground teams.
- Strong working knowledge of incident investigation techniques and RCCA methodologies. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Full professional proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus).
